TI: Superfly is the best known of Curtis outputs and definitely one of his finest moments. Thanks to the music the film is still worth seeing. Superfly was also Curtis commercial breakthrough as a solo artist with two American top ten singles, "Freddie's Dead" and the theme song. He was moving towards a more funkier sound that worked perfectly as a score for the film as well as an album on it's own. Great music from an artist at the peak of his career. Five out of five, no question.
